This listed, but dilapidated, insurance headquarters in the centre of Wolverhampton was converted into a mixed-use development with pub and shops on the ground floor and basement, offices on the first floor and flats on the second, third and fourth floors.

A new lift was installed within the original stairwell as part of a refurbishment of the main entrance hall which also involved the renovation of terrazzo flooring and decorative glazed wall tiling. The main entrance arch was opened up and a new glazed entrance screen set behind it.

The building won the Wolverhampton Environmental Award in 2000
