The mint building forms part of a nationally significant site that includes the Soho Foundry where Boulton and Watt established the first systematised production of steam engines . Apec were commissioned to prepare sketch designs for the whole site in 2007, and this page shows the conceptual scheme for the mint building. The use is primarily offices but with the north-western end containing a bar and restaurant .
